Common Ground began as a spreadsheet shared between friends. Its strength was the taste behind the recommendations; its challenge was scaling that intimacy without becoming a generic directory.
We designed a flexible editorial system around human notes, not ratings. Each place is introduced by a short reason to go, supported by practical details and photography supplied by the community.
The visual language borrows from hand-stamped neighborhood guides: direct type, bright utility colors, and small moments of movement that feel discovered rather than performed.
